| mumblingsi went on a junie b. rant this afternoon. (sorry drew) people aren't happy unless they are fussing about something. silly people. anyways.. i think i'll go out and buy like all the junie b. books and read them all. i <3 "controversial" literature. when i found out the new newberry was "controversial" (due the to the usage of the word "scrotum") i put it on hold at the library. hehe. i wish people would just get past that first page and read the rest of the story. it's lovely. also why i read maniac magee and wringer.
and honestly.. i'd rather have my kid reading "scrotum" and then asking me "mommy, what's a scrotum?" than watching sponge bob or camp lazlo and then acting like retards. [i need to use scrotum one more time to hit the number of times the higher power of lucky contains it in its 144 pages.. oh yeah.. there we go]
i know... i want to make all the parents in white suburban land read books like the giver and farenheit 451. i would make them read the book thief too, but they might object to the german words that some of the adults use... also the girl steals books... that might be objectionable. cuz we know kids who read a book like that will go right out and steal books. .. and then they might read them... ..... dun dun dun. but if those books don't work... since they're all objectionable anyways.. let's take all the parents out to recess. see what they hear out there. and then we'll make them watch hours and hours of cartoons for kids. hooray! |
